Maisie moved to Clearwater, Florida, with her sister Alyssa and cousin Chelsea in May 2020, after she was laid off due to Covid. Around the same time, Jackson moved back to Tampa from Miami to work remotely. Later that month they met for the first time for a pool day at a friend’s house.

They became best friends right away and did everything together that summer. In August of 2020, Jackson asked Maisie to be his girlfriend. In June 2021 they added their fur baby, Butters, to the family. From there on, their relationship blossomed with love and happiness, but was challenged by sickness.

As you might know, Jackson’s health journey has been anything but easy. Maisie stood by his side to help him fight everything he was going through. Jackson never let his health get in the way of their relationship and he always showed his love and appreciation.

Even through the hardest times, Maisie and Jackson stayed positive about the future and never gave up. In 2024, they found the best surgeon to help Jackson and later that year scheduled their first consultation.

After a relieving visit at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee, waiting in the airport to fly home, Jackson told Maisie how he wanted to marry her and even though things were uncertain, he was certain about her. When they arrived home on August 20th, 2024, Jackson got down on one knee and asked Maisie to be his wife.

Maisie and Jackson couldn’t be happier. They are excited for the future and all the great things that are in store. They cannot wait to celebrate their marriage with all their loved ones in May 2026!
